Hi everyone,

I know I haven't blogged in months already (sad..) but I just thought I'd let you know (not that you care... lol) that I'm still here. School's just been soo busy lately that even I don't know when to include sleep in my schedule. It's more like I'll just sleep whenever my body decides to pass out. For the next 3 months (since January 2012), I basically am full time in school at night, and then full time work during the day. My life is sort of on hold right now meaning not being able to do other things besides school and work.. I will be posting occasionally just so you know I'm still alive. LOL. After April, I am officially done school and free as a bird! Haha!

Alright, these boxes came in last month. Scored some awesome deals from outnet and net-a-porter's annual sale. :) Can you guess what they are?

Who says you can only wear sparkling sequins at night? :)

Kept it neutral with a white flowy top and stayed within neutral colors for my shoes and accessories.

How do you justify yourself to take risks? Lately, I feel like I've just been cruising along and not even trying to be at my best or not even trying to make the most out of my day. Maybe because work lately has been very stressful that I often find myself passing out on the couch or bed right when I get home...then I wake up to study. And then sleep again to start another day doing the same things. Yup, that's pretty much the story of my life. It's ok, I'm sure all of these will pay off very soon, when I'm done school. :) Just the thought of it makes me so excited. LOL.

I cooked last weekend, and I actually felt good after. I shall do that again..... asap! :)

[Beauty] Make up for the hot weather

Just early this month, I went to visit Philippines again. And since I've gotten emails asking about what make up products I would recommend for summer time, I figured that this is probably the best time to write a post on this as I was able to try and test out some products during my stay there.

Despite my addiction for beauty and make up products, I do not like to pack on make up every day. Mainly because I do not have enough time in the morning, and I am basically, a little lazy to do this. Haha, but I do love to collect them. Sigh...

Anyway, these are the products I brought with me and used in the Philippines. This tropical country had an average of 28 to 30 degrees celsius while I was there. If these products worked very well there, I'm sure it can stand summer time anywhere :)

1) Urban Decay Setting Spray - De Slick

I personally like a dewy look. However, thinking that I will be in a very humid weather and will probably take lots of pictures, I opted to bring the oil control make up setting spray. I applied this before anything else and as well as after I've done my make up to set it. I do not really have oily skin (I have a combination skin) but I figured that this is probably a better choice while I'm there.

2) Missha BB Cream & Laura Mercier Tinted Moisturizer

I was so glad I found my travel sized Missha BB Cream so it takes smaller space. I actually only used the Laura Mercier once, and the Missha probably 3x during my whole 2-week stay. I rarely put on any type of foundation/tinted moisturizer but these worked well when I did use them. I tanned too much after going to the beach that's why I wasn't really able to use this there.. Haha!

3) MAC Studio Finish Concealer

I can't really say much about concealers but I noticed that this stayed on the longest.

4) Make Up Forever HD High Definition Microfinish Powder

Used this to set my concealer and any face make up I have on.

5) Liquid Eyeliner

-Stila Waterproof Liquid Eyeliner

-Make Up Forever Aqua Liquid Liner

-Lancome Artliner

For my everyday make up, I usually just focus on the eyes. For my eyeliner, I needed something that can withstand the heat and sweat, and which will practically stay on ALL day as I do not have time to retouch (I never really do anyway). I found myself using Stila the most just because it is a lot easier to use than the brush tip applicator of MUFE. As for Lancome Artliner, I only used it twice just to try it out. But the Stila one lasted me til morning and even after I fell asleep with it on. No raccoon eyes, no smudging, nothing.! I swear by it! It's amazing! It's perfect to wear all day and night..and next morning :)

6) Make Up Forever Aqua Eyes pencil eyeliner

This one's okay. I slept with it on once or twice and it did give me a little smudge just underneath my lower lash line but nothing too ugly. I mean, I fell asleep with it on so that makes it still acceptable. However, if you just plan on wearing it all day OR night and not leave it on when you sleep, then it should be fine. It's still better than other pencil eyeliners I have tried so far (including Urban Decay 24/7 glide on pencils). I actually just use this to tight line my upper and lower eye rims.

7) Mascara

-Make Up Forever Aqua Smoky Lashes

-Benefit They're Real

I cannot really pick which one I like better. The MUFE is waterproof formula while the Benefit one isn't. I both fell asleep with them on and both did not give me any flakes/fall outs. No smudge and no racoon eyes as well.. just what I need.

I find that Benefit gave me more length and MUFE gave me more volume. I'm not saying that MUFE did not give me the length I wanted but I just noticed that Benefit made my lashes look longer compared to MUFE but both worked perfectly. Choose Benefit if you do not like a waterproof formula as it was a lot easier to remove.

8) Lips

-Dior Addict Lipstick

-Dior Addict Lip Glow

I am currently addicted to Dior Addict lipsticks. They're very moisturizing and they're not sticky. Staying power is alright, nothing I'd say too special. It averages about 4 hours I'd say like other regular lippies. However, I was very surprised with the Dior Lip Glow as it enhances your lip color and it really made my lips look more alive and healthy. Haha! It also fades nicely, meaning it does not leave any ugly "residue" or "dried lipstick" on your lips which can get ugly if you do are not conscious about it.

So that's it! These are tried and tested make up products that can withstand extreme heat. I slept with my make up on a lot of times since I'm out all night quite often when I was there, I usually am extremely tired (and lazy) to take it out when I get home. I just wanted to sleep and get my rest :)

Hi everyone! I just got back from my trip last Saturday and now I'm just trying to get my things together trying to catch up with school and work. My body's still not quite adjusted to the time here and it's been so busy at work lately that I sometimes just crash in bed when I get home.

Anyway, this is an outfit I meant to post before I left for my trip but I got soooo busy that I didn't get a chance to. I can already feel like summer's over but I'm ready.! It was good while it lasted and I've gotten so dark from my trip that I now feel the need to hide from mr sunshine.

Are you guys ready for fall/autumn or still can't let summer go? :)

Maxi Dress 2

If you haven't noticed, I've been currently into floral maxi dresses. Click here to see the first one. One thing I really like about this is its asymmetric cut on the side. That's another thing I've been obsessing about lately as well, but I haven't gotten around to wearing them yet.

Less than a week until I visit the Philippines again! Hopefully, it doesn't rain so I can fully enjoy my vacation and maybe I can get to wear my maxi dresses there. Lol. :)

Anyway, how do you guys stop yourself from shopping? I've recently been buying lots of stuff, especially makeup. Funny thing is, if you see or know me, I rarely put on foundation and somehow, I'm on a hunt for a good foundation. And Sephora, being the little devil that it is, I always find myself buying other things, I probably would only use once or twice if not never.. Ohmy, I gotta stay away from that store! haha... :) I should do the project 10 pan.

This is something I probably would have never thought of wearing before, metallic/loud print leggings. Again, I decided to go out of my box and try something different. I ordered these american apparel nylon printed leggings from beyond the rack few weeks ago. When I finally received it in the mail, I was pretty surprised as to why I ordered it. Anyway, I usually never return items just because it takes too much of my time so I decided to make it work :) Paired it with a plain semi-sheer top from forever 21 and bow heels from Aldo. The bow heels softened the look of the loud print of the leggings. And my top is long enough at the back to cover unwanted exposure of the bum. I know I hate seeing girls wear leggings with a short top. Leggings are not pants. Lol, anyway, hope you like it and dont forget to hype it on lookbook. Thanks.

I'm the kind of girl who loves summer. If you'll go through my closet, I would have more skirts than jeans/leggings... as if Canada is such a hot tropical country. Haha! Anyway, I recently started wearing maxi dresses and I'm quite surprised as to why I never used to. I'm not the tallest person in the world and I wish I have Andy's (from stylescrapbook) legs.. However, I discovered that as long as you have the right length for your maxi dresses, it'll be fine. I also think that the empire waist style of this dress helped in making it or me look taller. Haha! That's what held me back all these years but glad, I stepped out of the box and tried something new. It's definitely worth it to step out of your bubble once in a while. :)

Suede skirt

I finally found time to blog! YAY! :) Well, I started doing yoga last monday, so everyday, I rush from work to yoga class so I don't really have the time to take photos. But I skipped yoga last Friday, (bad, I know) so I grabbed the rare opportunity to have something to post. So no, I haven't stopped blogging, and I thank you all for not "unfollowing." Haha. Greatly appreciate it.

Anyway, I found this necklace my boyfriend bought for me before and I just immediately thought of earthy tones, and mother nature. So I matched it with a suede skirt, and a lacey top. Wore this to a dinner date with Marlon at Anton's, one of our favorite restaurant, and then walked around night market in Richmond. If you haven't noticed, I changed my shoes from flats to espadrille wedges as I thought it looks good with my outfit as well. Which one do you like better?

Tonight, I just handed in 1 out of 3 papers and 1 out of 3 presentations I have to do.. I feel a little lighter now. To celebrate this little success, I'm going to take the time to rest tonight and blog. :) I have a few back log blogging to do.

So 2 weeks ago, my family and boyfriend went to Victoria for a short weekend getaway. It was really windy and a little chilly on the ferry but glad I bought coffee to help me warm up and we were able to take quick shots.

I love heels but I still do put my outfits together that is appropriate for my day/event. I knew we were gonna do a lot of walking so I chose to wear my good ol' chucks. I haven't worn this in a loooong time and I felt kinda weird to be honest. LOL!!! :) After this semester's over, I plan on trying that DIY studded shoes on these. I see them around often and I've always wanted to try it. I'm quite excited and if ever, that will be my very first DIY. I'm not that artistic like others so I hope it turns out well.

Procrastinator

I don't think I've been under this much stress since I finished school. If you guys don't know it yet, I finished financial management already about 3 yrs ago and now am continuing it to accounting. Anyway, I know that it's just because I procrastinated way too much this semester and now everything is due and happening within the next 3 weeks. I've always been a procrastinator, which I know isn't good...my excuse? "I'm better when under pressure." Lol. Plus, it's been extra busy at the office. Oh my... Planned on buying coffee but I was just too tired and sleepy while driving home today that I completely forgot about it. So I'm just going to make my own coffee to keep me up all night. Ahh, hope I finish them all on time.

Done brewing coffee. Time to work!! :)

Blushing on Canada Day

I know I'm blogging a day late, but it's never too late! HAPPY CANADA DAY, eh! (070111)! :) Somehow, it feels different..maybe because the royals are here, even though they visited Ottawa and not BRITISH Columbia...Lol. I wonder why... Anyway, spent the whole day with my family and Marlon. It's also our 30th month.

Had lunch with family at Prince Chinese Seafood then a quick "tour" at the mall just to see what's new. Went home after an hour at the mall so I finally managed to leave the mall with no shopping bags. :) Oops, well I did buy 3 things from Sephora, but this time, no make up! YAY! But I'm definitely going back there one day to grab some more of the MUFE aqua liners and Dior lippies. Dior Addict lipsticks are pretty pricey but I can say that it's totally worth the price. It's a little sheer, although that might depend on the color that you get, but what I like the most about it is that they really do moisturize your lips.

I have to leave early tomorrow for an overnight trip! YAY!

PS - where is our summer?! It's already July and we still can't go with full on summer clothes! Hmmm..

Had an awesome time with Marlon last night at the Rihanna concert. Glad that I was able to go despite my stomach pains in the morning. This is our 3rd concert so far (Lady Gaga, Bruno Mars, Rihanna) and I wonder what our next one will be. This reminds me to blog about my Bruno Mars concert experience next. Hehe.

We were a bit early so we went around a lil bit where they were giving away free diet coke. Even if I don't really drink pop that often, I do enjoy a couple of sips and who can resist free stuff, right? :) The concert was totally entertaining. I think that Rihanna performed awesome live and she was able to stand out from all the props.. (sometimes, artists drown in their props.. lol). J'Cole and B.O.B opened for her and I thought both did great... Although I thought Cee Lo was supposed to open for her concert, but I guess not.. I wonder what happened.

Anyway, it was a bit chilly so I decided to quickly grab a sweater.. You know it's summer in Vancouver when it gets sunny for 2 days then back to rain (LOL!). Excited to see sunshine for next 2 months.. summer has officially started anyway.. Was finally able to take 2 of the items (purse & shoes) I scored from net-a-porter sale for a spin.

Was feeling very minimalistic (again) that day and ended up with this outfit. I actually like how it turned out. It's perfect for the awesome weather we had.. not too hot and not too cold. Clean, simple and of course, with a pop of color. I've been loving yellow and pink lately but I think red is actually pretty cool too. Anyway, time for me to rest. I'm very sick right now and I've been stuffing myself with oranges. Yumm. :) I've got one more midterm left and finally got the camera back and so hopefully I can blog more often now. Wish me luck!

Went to watch Hangover 2 last weekend. I really really enjoyed watching the first movie and so I was pretty excited about this one. Although I knew that the next installments of a very awesome movie rarely exceeds or equals the first one, I still somehow had high expectations on this. I was a tad bit disappointed but I still thought it was funny. However, it did not give me that certain feeling of wanting to just go out and party like they did. (LOL) And for some reason, we did not really talk about it too much after the movie, maybe because it was late night already and we were pretty hungry.. but nevertheless, I still enjoyed the movie and the company of friends :)

Splurged a little on shoes for the last 2 weeks and this is one of `em. I was feeling minimalistic that day and so I opted for just all white top and jeans since it was windy. I knew I was going to be out late and I didn't want to freeze outside :) The shoes actually have a deeper/darker sky blue color in person than in the photos.

Sun was up all week this week and it was awesome. To celebrate the first day I'm able to go out with my bare legs, I made sure I was able to take photos. Now that summer is almost here, and the sun does not set until 8pm or 9pm, hopefully, I can take pictures for my blog more often. I remember during previous summers, sun did not set until 1130pm! imagine trying to sleep with sun shining on your face. LOL! :) Anyway, I'm not complaining.. I love summer and I just can't wait to just hang out at the lake or beach with friends, go camping, maybe a road trip?? Options are endless! What are your plans for this summer?

Greetings from Vancouver. :) It was an awesome 3-week vacation in Manila and I am currently extremely hung over from my trip. Still trying to fight jet lag and catching up with school as I missed 2 weeks of it due to my trip. Anyway, this is just a quick post just to let you guys know that I'm back. Will post more for sure once I get settled down.

Airport off to Manila

So finally, I was able to rebook my flight to Manila next day after my flight got cancelled. Philippine Airlines was supposed to give us a call but since I got nothing (no one did), I decided to just go to the airport and see what happens. Luckily, I was able to get a spot with China Airlines. The supposedly 12-hr flight via PAL became a 17-18hr flight due to a 5-hr stop over in Taipei. Omygoodness. Longest flight ever!!! But anyway, I'm just glad that I'm now here in Manila. It's been busy lately and it's just now that I found time to blog, YAY! :) Will try to update as much as I can but for now, here's my outfit when I flew from Vancouver to Manila. Nothing very mango-esque like my previous inspiration post but it's a lot better than my first outfit. Haha! Hope you're having an awesome week guys.

My flight got cancelled. Awesome *I'm sarcastic of course*. Worst part is they're just going to call us when our flight will be.. no idea when. So, I'm going to sit here and wait. Don't think I can sleep tonight. Sigh... I guess I'll just finish painting my nails.

Obviously, I wasn't able to dress up mango-inspired.. I guess I have another chance tomorrow. LOL. I had dinner last night with my girls and I wish I just stayed with them after dinner. I decided to go home as I needed to pack.. and now it's cancelled. GRRR! Anyway, I don't know what else to do. Watch a bunch of youtube vids? Browse more blogs.. YES. :) Alright, later friends. :)) Hope your friday went so much better than mine.

Exactly 7 more days left before I leave for my trip to the Philippines and I'm starting to feel like im already in vacation mode.. which is not good just yet as I have another final exam coming up on Tuesday, Apr 12, hence my lack of posts. I took a break from studying and browsed through my favorite fashion sites and I came across Mango Spring 2011 campaign. How I wish I can travel like this and not look like a bum. I go out of town at least once every year. Trip from Vancouver to Philippines is about 12 hours for a direct flight (could be 14-16 if with stop overs), and I'd usually opt to dress for 100% comfort. Hopefully this time around, I can be more chic. Haha!

Thanks guys for not "unfollowing" my blog even if I haven't posted anything for a while now. I'm still here and I promise I'll get back on this soon. I still have a few comments to go through but I gotta get back to studying now. Woops.

Sun was up last Sunday and it was warm enough to wear shorts. Simple outfit for a simple and relaxed day. I honestly love warm weather more than cold weather because I get to enjoy outdoors ;) Vancouver's being tricky right now though. It was so sunny last week, not too hot and not too cold. This week however is all rain..until weekends according to weather network. Can't wait! :)

My favorite color was green for the longest time.. but lately I noticed that I've been buying pink colored outfits, and I love it! Expect more of it in next posts. Haha!

We were testing out our new holga lens last weekend and you can see a test shot on the last photo. I haven't played with it yet but I'm quite excited. Right now, I gotta focus on school first as I have my exam next Monday and then on the 12th.. then I'm off for my vacation in the Philippines! Woo, more sun!! :)

Started the day with an early shoot for my blog then went home for lunch and now I'm just about to continue doing my paper. I've been wanting to have these shoes in a photo and found the perfect time. Although honestly, I'd rather wear the other one, which you can see on the last photo. Haha! This pair of red lace up gives it a bit more edge while the other one (the wedge) gives off a more sweet-look.

A very good friend of mine from BCIT (my post-secondary school) got married at Queen Elizabeth Park yesterday, Mar 20, 2011. It was a simple yet very sweet wedding and I don't know about you but I always get giddy and butterflies everytime I attend weddings. I definitely feel the love and I always end up imagining what would mine be like. The most exciting part I think for me is when I pick out my dress, shoes, accessories and makeup. :)

Hello! I'm back :) Past 2-3 weeks have been very very busy so I apologize for being gone for too long. I'd like to say thank you to those who stayed and didn't "unfollow" LOL. Thank you for all the comments. Don't worry, I'll be back on your dashboards and comment boxes soon!

Quick post. I'm just excited to get these soon. These are Michael Antonio shoes which I purchased from Beyond the Rack. I've been on a shoe shopping mode lately which isn't really that great as I know I have to save up for my trip in April. Sigh, but I just couldn't resist the awesome deal, from $85 to $25, that Beyond the Rack offers. Anyway, I'm off work soon then study for my exams and write 2 papers. I'll be on the down low for the next 2-3 weeks. Will still have few quick posts from time to time, but I'll be back to normal after March 4 when everything's done.

I should really stop procrastinating :)

Vancouver 2010 one year anniversary!

I will never forget how everyone came out and filled the streets of downtown. Canadian flags everywhere, free concert, hot chocolate, shows, breaking out in our national anthem, everyone's just beaming with pride. These photos were taken last year and I can still feel the joy as if it was just yesterday :) Who can ever forget that golden goal from Sidney Crosby and the overflowing joy everywhere in Canada. I miss it. So proud to be Canadian :)

Five Sails Restaurant

Just want to take a quick break from the all the craziness I've had for the first 2 days of the week. I'm sure there's more to come but let me relive how awesome the food I had last Tuesday. Haha! So this would be more of a food porn post.

So again, for Vancouver Dine Out 2011, Marlon and I went to Five Sails Restaurant located inside Pan Pacific hotel, a luxury hotel in Vancouver. It's a 3 course meal for $38/person (not including tax, gratuity and drinks). Wish I kept the menu so I can list the name of the dish but unfortunately, I didn't. The ambience is perfect, comfortable seats, english bay for the view, great tasting food and quick service....what else would you want? When I think of high end restaurants, I would usually think that they don't fill you up because of small servings. This however gave me a very satisfied feeling. I didn't feel sick at all like what McDonald's do to you or even other restaurants. Overall, I'd give it a 5/5. :) Anyway, indulge :)

Vancouver Dine Out is where a number of gourmet/high end restaurants have a 3-course set menu for a set discounted price. Because of our tight schedule, we were only able to go to one, Five Sails, located inside Pan Pacific Hotel in Vancouver. I'll save the experience story on my next post as I wanted this one to just be for "what I wore."

So I finally put on one of my Lanvin x H&M purchase for this night. Matched it with another H&M necklace to give it a pop of color. One of my favorite heels, BCBG and Miu Miu purse. Wish I had a nude skinny belt though that I could've used. Oh well, I guess that could be added onto my wishlist :)

Last outfit photo during my little photoshoot last week. I know I said that I'll put up the ones from our dine out last Tuesday, but that'll have to wait until maybe Saturday. Nothing much planned for me this weekend except to eat tikoy, study, study, study, and rest. =/ Currently, sick. Sigh..

Looking at the photo, I wish I used a different accessory instead of pearl necklace. It just kinda drowned from the beige color of the top. But I'm happy with that "edge" or "rocker chic" the jacket added on to this look. Taking photos of the outfit helps me see how it actually looks like. Sometimes, the outfits I put together in my head are only great in my mind. It becomes weird after I actually put it on. Lol, does that ever happen to you??

Alright, hope your weekend will be much more exciting than mine.

Not much of "outfit photos" as some may expect from a fashion blog but I guess a quick random post wouldn't hurt :) Marlon visited me at work today to have lunch with me and we decided to eat at Ikea. Yes, some of you might not know this but Ikea do have a restaurant inside. Of course, nothing fancy but they do serve pretty tasty food. For those who live in an area with Ikea, have you guys tried eating there before? Looking at the last photo, gosh.. I need sleep!!!

Alright, hopefully I get to spend a little down time and have more decent photos to blog about. My camera got sent to Canon for some repairs. I just got it back last weekend and I never knew I'd ever say this, but I missed it. I'm not really that much into photography (I mean, me, being the photographer) but I'm glad to have my camera back. :)

PS - The weather is a bit better compared to previous weeks. I was so sick of wearing boots and thick socks today so I thought I'd brave it up and wear flats. ;) Ooh, I finally was able to wear my hello kitty crocs I got in Hong Kong! It's sooo adorable. Lol.

Canyon Lights

I know it took forever and I have been neglecting this blog but I've been very busy with work and school. Hope these pictures can sort of make up for my absence.

Apparently, we're having a heavy snowfall right now. I haven't looked outside my window yet since I'm glued to my computer trying to finish up my homework, but I hope they'll declare snow day at work. Snow day or no snow day, I gotta go to work anyway to finish up some work which I cannot leave `til later. They have to be done!! At least I have the going-home-early-part (or whenever you're done) to look forward to.....if they do declare snow day.

I think I'm still having the holiday hangovers. I miss it =/

First day back at work for the year 2011 and it welcomed me with more than 200 pages of work to do. (Great!...Not!) On a positive note, we had about 2.5-hr break to celebrate my colleague's 80th birthday! Isn't that amazing?! He enjoys his job so much that he makes it seem like it's a paid hobby. Ha ha!! How awesome is that?! At what age do you guys plan to retire? I don't think I'll be working anymore when I'm 80 y/o but we'll never know! Economy is just too hard to predict.

Today marks a new start for everyone as we all welcome 2011. I missed blogging on Christmas eve so I made sure I won't miss this one. It's always great to start right.! Hope you all had a wonderful new year's eve! Thanks for all the greetings. January 1st doesn't just mark a new year for me. It also marks my anniversary with my boyfriend, Marlon. Today is our 2nd year anniversary but it still seems like we're still a new couple. ha ha ha!

Simply celebrated the day by having dinner at Joey's and watched Toy Story 3 at home.

Again, happy new year to everyone and happy 2 years, Marlon. I love you!

Faux Fur Coat - Lanvin x H&M

Rumor is that it's going to snow overnight. Oh man, wrong timing now that I have to drive to work again. I wish it snowed last christmas though. It would've been an awesome white Christmas!

Today went to Capilano Suspension Bridge today to see the Canyon Lights with my boyfriend. It's freezing cold outside my house so I was sure it'll be a lot colder up there. Just perfect because I finally got to wear my faux fur jacket from the Lanvin x H&M! I've been waiting for the perfect opportunity to wear this to keep me warm :)

4 days til Christmas

As promised, here's an outfit post after a very long no outfit post from me. I'm lucky I still found photos to use. They're not great but they're good enough I guess. We were trying to rush our christmas shopping last sunday and so by the time we were done, it was already dark outside.. with Vancouver weather, it gets dark starting at 5pm! haha.. It was my boyfriend's niece's baptism that day that's why I was a bit dressy. I don't normally go to the mall wearing this. LOL!

I cannot believe it's 5 days before Christmas! I hope mother nature holds off on the snow until Christmas eve so we get to enjoy a white Christmas :) :) It will be so awesome if I get to open my presents by the fireplace with my hot chocolate and it's snowing. :)

Do you guys have a list that you really want to get this year? I thought about what I want this year, but I ended up with nothing. I guess I can say that I'm pretty happy and satisfied with what I have. But obviously, we can never have enough clothes, shoes, etc.... But if you really dig deep and think about it... can you say you're happy and satisfied? Or is something still missing? Hope everyone finds peace in their heart :)

Hey guys! I'm back. Sorry that I haven't updated in ages!!! This Christmas season is always busy for me and so I didn't have time to sit back and do a blog post. I lost a few blog followers too but that's ok. I'd like to say thank you to you guys who stayed with me. :) Giveaway soon as my holiday and thank you gift for everyone. I just haven't thought about what to give yet but stay tuned. Also, it'll be an outfit post on my next post.

Yesterday, my friend asked my boyfriend and I to take photos for Passion and Leejay's concert presented by Pen & Paper Apparel. The clothing brand Pen & Paper Apparel were created by my friends and they got this concert to happen to celebrate their anniversary. If you guys haven't heard about Passion and Leejay, you definitely should check out their youtube channels they are awesome musicians and YouTube stars. It was truly a night of music lovin :)

Here is one of Jeremy's (a.k.a Passion) original song called "Already in Love." This is the very first song I heard when I first came across his music.

So here's my Lanvin x H&M Pt.2

Since I wasn't really there when my boyfriend lined up for this collaboration, he went a lil crazy in getting items. He got me 2 coats, same style but in different colors. I guess he did not know which one I will like so he just tried to grab whatever he could. There's also not enough time for him to take photos of it, send it to me and for me to reply saying which one I wanted. Vote, crazy or sweet? Or both? He reads my blog so he'll see what you guys write.. be nice! hahaha... jk :)

Which one do you guys like better? The "zebra" (even if it's brown and white not black and white stripes) or the black coat? I only kept one of course, and returned the other. Which one do you think I kept? :)

As you guys may have read on my birthday post (read here), my boyfriend lined up at H&M to score some of the items from Lanvin for H&M collab. Luckily, he was able to grab some but I never got the time to post them until now. I know I'm so late in this but last week was so busy! Anyway, I'm going to break this into parts (1 blog per item).

Don't let my outfit fool you, it's still winter here and it's still cold. Fortunately though, Vancouver isn't as cold as the other places in Canada. This was taken last Saturday when I attended a lunch for my friend's graduation. We were asked to dress semi-formally and from what I asked from my friend who was already there, they weren't too dressed up. So I just opted for a simple dress and accessorized. I still had a coat, gloves and scarf with me but I just took it off when we're indoors and just for the photos. We had to do this shoot very quickly since it was really cold outside and both my boyfriend and I were freezing. Ha ha! I dressed up and got ready for this for about 10 mins. I had to rush because it started at 11 and my exam didn't end until 11.30. Got home at 12 and got ready! I'm actually quite impressed at how I managed to pull these out of my closet without really thinking too much about it.

Have you ever went to an event where you only had a few minutes to get ready? I've had lots!! LOL, comment below if you like with a photo to your "rushed-outfit" so we can all see. :)

Anyway, I'm finally done my final exam last Saturday and so I'm now free for the rest of December. I've got a few things on my list to try to do during my break.

-Organize room

From the list, I'm guessing I'll only be able to do cooking and baking. Hopefully I can fix my room just in time for Christmas and New Year!!

VS Fashion Show 2010

Honestly, I wasn't actually so much into fashion before until sometime early this year. With that being said, last night was the first time I've seen a Victoria's Secret fashion show on tv. :) They're all so gorgeous and the whole production is amazing. It truly exuded "fantasy", as what their theme was for this year. I will admit that at times, I got depressed, wishing I never gave up on going to the gym and trying to eat healthy.. I guess if I was paid to be a model, I would totally live in the gym. haha!! What struck me the most was when Chanel Iman received her first wing. It was exactly what she had imagined (and probably bigger). It truly showed how much it meant for her. Some of us would probably think, "it's just wings." This made me realize that truly, happiness is based on your own perception. Different things make us happy. It's not what media says or what the society proclaims on "how to be happy." If we just let go and do the things we love, as long as we don't step on others to get there, we will be happy and be left with the feeling of accomplishment. :)

It's freezing cold in Vancouver lately!! Especially today, the windchill is just insane. A strong wind doesn't really help when the temperatures are currently below zero (about -10 degrees celsius). The wind just makes it drop about twice as much putting it to about -20. I know calgary, toronto, and other parts of canada don't compare to what they're probably experiencing right now.. but hey, we're not used to this. lol!! :) anyway, bundle up my friends!!

These were actually taken last friday, Nov 19th. It was tough to take photos due to temperature so I might just resort to indoor photos next time. We'll see what happens. Last photo, we decided to warm up a little bit with starbucks holiday drink--caramel brulee latte before heading to a friend's birthday.

My Birthday!

Today, Nov 21, I turn 23. Celebrated my day with the ones closest to my heart, with my parents and with boyfriend, Marlon.

Had lunch with Marlon, went to church at night, then dinner with my parents and Marlon at home. Very simple, yet lovely. :) Thank you.

5 - Lanvin for h&m: boyfriend got these for me yesterday, Nov 20th! Note, I didn't ask him to. We were talking on the phone and I told him, "oh man, by the time I get off school tomorrow (yes, I have school on a Saturday morning), I'm sure all the items I want from the Lanvin and h&m will be gone." Then he goes "Oh what do you want? I can get them for you." I guess he didn't know how crazy it'll be. LOL. I told him people are already heading there for sure as we speak. So he sets his alarm clock at 6 and gets there at 7. He was able to go in at 12.20pm. Good thing he was still able to grab some. He actually got size 4 dresses which were pretty much the smallest ones they have there but because of the garter waist, they just fit me perfectly. :) He was pretty shocked at how crazy the girls were for these. haha!!

Hong Kong 2010 Pt.1

I am a bit settled down now at home, although still a bit tired, I found time today to upload photos and have a blog post about my trip. One thing you'll notice is that I don't really dress up all blog-worthy and "fabulous" or whatsoever when I'm on a sight seeing vacation. During these times, I think comfort comes first. Even with my flats, I was forced to buy slippers right on the spot as I cannot take anymore step with the flats I've been using. It came to a point that one day, half of my feet is covered in band aid =/ LOL!

I didn't really want to have a one full week of blog post about my trip so I am trying to cram it all up into 2 postings. Sorry for photo overload. Hopefully it doesn't freeze up your computers.. :)

Hello everyone!

I know, I know, it's been a long time since my last update. As you guys know, (or if you don't know yet) I was in Hong Kong since Nov 3. My trip was very busy that I didn't even have time to actually sit down and do some blog post. So I will probably be blogging about my trip for the following days to share with you guys and also to serve as a memory lane for myself. After all, I intend this blog to be a travel blog anyway. I just hoped I got to update it while I was still on vacation and not after. :)

Anyway, I'm still jet lagged but I have to ~~sleep~~ force myself to sleep now because I have school tomorrow. In the meantime, I leave you with these 2 purchases I got in HK. Took these photos last Friday (Oct 29) but was not able to post it until today. Saw this jacket a few times on one of my favorite bloggers, andy, and I couldn't resist anymore...and so, ended up buying myself one. It's the Balmain military inspired jacket from queenswardrobe.com.

I just noticed that I'm very much into military style jackets. I wonder what would be the next trend in my closet. :)

2 more nights then I'm off to Hong Kong. I'm not even done packing yet! It's so hard to plan 9 days of outfits when I usually just wear what I feel that day. I don't really plan on what to wear the night before... We'll see what I end up stuffing in my luggage.

Vancouver weather's been very ugly for the last 2 days. It's been so hard to wake up in the morning for work and all I want to do is lay in bed all day. But of course, we can't really just do that for the rest of our lives.. Ha ha! Imagine how boring that would be.

I was featured on wikifashion.com's main page last night. I felt so happy but I didn't blog about it anymore as I just did on my previous post. I'm just writing it on here to serve as reminder or note to self so when I read back on this, I'll remember when I was on the main page. LOL! (of course, I took a screenshot of that too. ha ha ha!)

Trip to HK and Featured

Hi, quick update!

I was able to snap a few photos for an outfit post, but I still haven't gotten the pictures ready for the blog yet so we might have to wait for a while. Sorry guys =/ But I've got a few new purchases that I'm excited to do outfit posts on. (YAY!)

In the meantime, I would just like to share with you guys these 2 links.

Last but not the least, I am going to Hong Kong for a week Nov 3-12! 2 of my cousins in the Philippines asked me if I wanted to go to HK because they're going to visit our cousin who was sent there for work and she's been living there for almost 6 months now, i think. Anyway, I booked my flight 3 days later after they asked me. Haha!! That was the shortest planning I've ever done for a trip but I can't wait!

Friends! I'm backkk!! Thanks for all your get well soon notes.. I'm still not completely ok but I'm feeling so much better now so I'm back to my outfit posts again. (yay!)

Luckily, my boyfriend came over today so we were able to take photos and we were able to test his new tilt shift camera. Although fall season is my 3rd favorite season out of the 4, I can't deny the beauty of fall, especially its colors.

Hello, sorry I haven't been updating often. I've been sick this whole week and at the same time, trying to study for my midterm on Saturday. Great timing, eh? I get this seasonal flu every... well yea, every season. ha ha!

Obviously, I couldn't take outfit photos as I'm not feeling very well right now. However, I was browsing through old photos trying to see which one I can blog about. So I found these photos taken in March 2010 where we had a little photoshoot before going to a friend's birthday.

We had a karaoke party for my friend, Clarissa's birthday. I love to sing, and thus, I love karaoke. I'm one of those mic-hoggers when it comes to this. ha ha! They actually themed the party as "Alice in Wonderland" so we had to wear some floraly, or anything that you can relate to it. I couldn't really dress up that much since we had to go to a friend's gig after so I just stuck with my pink dress and hopefully the owl necklace can carry me through the whole theme :)

These photos were taken in May 2010 when we had dinner for a friend's birthday. She chose the Boathouse restaurant by the quay in New Westminster. Marlon and I arrived a bit early so we decided to just walk around for a bit. Walking back, Marlon set the camera to multiple shots and took about 100 photos! omgosh, non stop and I didn't want my photos taken at that time. Haha!! Anyway, just thought I'd share with you guys to make up for the lack of outfit photos :( Will try my hardest this coming week since I now have a tripod and remote (which are all Marlon's.. lol)... but the remote is not wireless so I'll see what I can do. lol!

Hi everyone, sorry I haven't been updating often. For some reason, work was extra busy the past week so I've been very tired when I come home. Today, as I was resting on the couch, flipping through the channels, trying to find something goo to watch and maybe eventually fall asleep, I came across this short film, "Barbie, A Fashion Fairytale."

I've always loved barbies since I was a little kid and these Barbie short films just always fascinate me. I watched "Barbie, A Fashion Fairytale" today and I loved it! It may sound sad because it's animated runway, but it was very pleasing to my eyes :)

Reminiscing: Formal Events

Hello, I haven't had the chance to take outfit photos since I'm terrible at taking self-shot photos. I was browsing through my photos and I saw albums of formal parties I've attended about when I was maybe around 18-19 y.o. In my culture, we're big on debut or cotillion parties when we turn 18. This can be compared to sweet 16 parties. It's this "coming out" party kinda thing. I personally never had a big one like most girls. I turned 18 about a year after moving to canada and even if I found friends here already, I didn't think that the big money I'll be spending is worth it when all of my best friends are back in my hometown. And so I went for just a chill-type of party where there's food, pool, music and friends. I still had fun and I thought that it was just perfect.

So anyway, I was looking at the photos of the formal parties I've attended through out the years and I've decided to share some to you. This can do as my outfit post :)

I'm 22 now, (turning 23 in a bit more than a month) so these photos make it about 4 yrs old. You can see my hair is still dark here and I'm trying to grow out my hair back to its original color. I kinda want to cut it short again though. I'm just worried about looking too young because right now, I can still probably pass as an 18-yr old. LOL! I guess it has something to do with my asian genes.

I didn't actually go to any business related event but I thought it would be perfect (funny) title to go with this outfit. Found this blazer with a padded shoulder in my mom's closet and thought I'd give it a try. Because it's a very bright yellow blazer, I have decided to just match it with an all black outfit and pearl necklace to make it look "corporate yet classy." Also, my new purse came in too!

My friday was spent with good friends again for Soy's birthday celebration at his house. Pigged out with spaghetti, barbecue, soup, pizza, wings, and of course, alcohol. Lol! I didn't drink lots because I had school the next day. But it's ok, I've had my fair share of those nights. It's great to realize that we don't need to get wasted to have fun. Moderation is always good because you really get to enjoy all the good times you've had and most importantly, remember those moments. :) As well as you know you didn't do anything which you might regret later on. ha ha!!

I've been brewing up ideas for my project which I hope I can actually bring to life. It's a long process of planning and brainstorming so I'll be leaving quotes from now on to help motivate me and inspire you guys as well in some ways.

I wore this last Saturday (9.25.2010) to school and friend, K-Anne's birthday. It was a fun night of great food, and charades with friends that are really close to my heart. What do you guys think of the outfit?

Today, I missed the first part of glee and so I just tried watching it online. Omgosh, Brittany as Britney Spears is perfect. Sorry for Rachel Berry fans but I thought it was tough to watch her britney scene. It wasn't bad but it was just a bit off for me. I'm excited for the next episode!!

A bit more about the vancouver weather, we're in the fall season now but it was pretty hot today. Apparently, it's going to stay warm until Thursday! I can't really complain about that... :D Love it! Except I'll be spending it at work :(

Something arrived for me last friday and it is my Alexander Wang Rocco bag. I've been wanting this for so long and I was so excited when I saw it on sale at ssense.com. Although there wasn't much off the original price, I still thought that it was great and so I didn't waste any second and reached out for my credit card right away. Finally, one down off my wishlist :)

After work, me and my boyfriend went to Marble Slab for some ice cream. Marble Slab is one of our favorite ice cream place and it's just perfect. No matter how cold the weather was, ice cream is ice cream and will also be perfect for us. Haha. Then Marlon tried to cook steak and vegetables for dinner and it was actually very well done.. The vegetables though turned out some sort of like mashed vegetables in butter... other than that, it was great. ha ha ha!

Yesterday, I went to the mall after school to prep for my first ever giveaway. I think I found the perfect one and hope you guys will like it as much as I do. 2 posts in one day?!?! Oh man, this is awesome! :)

Anyway, so Summer 2010 officially ended last night and now I welcome Fall 2010. :) My outfit for today is just very simple, back to basics--jeans, long sleeved shirt and boots. I do have my scarf and a blazer on though. The photo with my blazer on didn't look that good so I decided to just not post it. Too lazy to retake photo. As you can see, I used my little camera as I didn't want to miss the first day of fall. I keep forgetting to get my camera back from Marlon.

I'm so excited for tomorrow as I'm expecting to receive a package tomorrow. Omgosh, I can't wait! Finally, I can cross out one from my wishlist.! Can't wait!!!! I previously blogged about getting an award from walking in the air (sorry, I forgot your name, how embarrassing =/) and I would like to say thank you again. Anyway, here's my 7 facts that I'm supposed to share with you guys upon receiving the award.

1. I love swimming and I miss it dearly. My dad was my trainer as he was a member of the University of the Philippines (a very prominent university in the Philippines) swimming varsity and he won so many medals! I also got into basketball (even if I'm not that tall), table tennis and I joined gymnastics club when I was in grade school. I joined 3 (or 4?) levels Milo BEST Basketball years ago. :)

2. I am an only child but contrary to stereotypes, I am not a spoiled brat.. Thank God. I'm guessing maybe that's why I want 7 kids in the future... or maybe 5... or 3? LOL!

3. I first got into (if not addicted) to make up. I love make up even if I barely put make up on. If I would put on one, I would probably skip foundation.

4. I am actually a very shy, especially when I'm by myself.

5. I was born in the Philippines and moved to Canada with my family on Sep 18, 2004. So this is my 6th year here in British Columbia. In a span of 6 yrs, I was able to visit hometown twice, 2006 and 2009. Hopefully in 2012 I get to visit again!

6. I don't eat bananas. I don't like their smell and just everything about bananas.

7. I love to sing.

Crazy weather and First Blog award

The 2nd photo I have here is the first ever photo I took at work! haha. I took these before leaving and I see that no one's there anymore.. and so I just snapped a few with my trusty canon powershot, thus poor quality compared to my other ones. Sorry about that but I just wanted to show you guys this really cute blazer I got last Saturday from Forever 21. It has that vintage-y feel to it and I'm actually surprised that it's pretty warm. Well, not warm enough for winter that's for sure.

I can't stop talking about Vancouver weather for some reason, lol. There was a little bit of drizzle in the morning when I left the house for work and a quite windy too. Then came pouring rain.. and then it got sunny! omgosh, good thing I was just at work and didn't really have to bundle up that much. But it's quite hard to plan your day and your outfit with this kind of weather.. sigh.. nevertheless.. I love vancouver :)

Meet & Greet: Brett Dier

Yesterday, boyfriend picked me up from school and we headed straight to the mall to look around what's in store and find a place to eat. Anyway, while walking around, we saw that there's this "Meet and greet a celebrity" event going on. It was Brett Dier, a Canadian actor, appearing in Supernatural, Smallville, etc. Honestly, I don't really watch tv so I didn't know who he was (lol). But I thought, might as well go there and have a photo with a celebrity. haha!! So yea, he was very nice to everyone who was there... I guess he should be nice anyway, eh?

After, we just walked around some more, had sushi for lunch then went home and just relaxed on the couch watching Spiderman 3 on tv. Here's my outfit from yesterday. It was a bit cold in the morning, but not too cold so I didn't need a sweater. Though it got really hot afterwards.. oh Vancouver weather.. just gotta love it.

That night, we went to help my friend out make a music video for fun as a birthday gift for her boyfriend. Omgosh, it's so funny. I'll ask if I can link it here when it's all done. haha!

So here's my second installment of my Paris trip post. I'm so sad because at the time we went on a trip, my macbook was pretty new and I wasn't too sure how to use it yet. Anyway, I uploaded everything on iPhoto and I remember getting all confused on how to upload it on facebook, so I decided to cut and paste to a different folder. After a while, I realized that I've been deleting them. Now I don't have all of my photos anymore :( It's very depressing, but I gotta move on.. (lol). Good thing I have my friends' photos on my computer too.. I guess I'll just stick with my memories when I go reminisce about this very exciting trip.

Anyway, every part of this place is huge. the garden was just as far as your eyes can see! haha.. yes, i'm not exaggerating. if you're not in a very constricted time, you can tour the whole place in I'd say 2 days? Make sure you come early too. The line up is just long and it rained when we were there! haha.

A super fab friend of mine, Michael, booked a suite at Carmana Plaza and celebrated his birthday last night. It was awesome and everyone just partied all night long. We got a few knocks on the door to remind us how loud we were (lol). I'm not sure how many times but we left a little earlier than the others because we had to drive some people home already. I didn't drink much because I wanted to have an amazing rest today... being hung over is pretty tiring and annoying sometimes if all you want is a very laid back sunday. :)

We had a theme of black, lace and accessories of course, for the party. Bought my top last minute. I had school in the morning then I went straight to the mall as I realized I didn't have any lace in my closet.

I'm still waiting on some photos from others that I want to share with you guys but I'll post some from my boyfriend's camera. Lots of photos below, alright?

Hello! So I wore this last friday when we went to go shopping and check out the place for silver anniversary. We had to keep going back and forth to that place to make sure that everything is set and the photographer (aka my boyfriend) are sure of his camera settings for the day. That's why I have the same background with my post for the silver anniversary outfit (click here to see post).

Nothing really much to say about that day except for I had tons of fun shopping! I've never really shopped that much in a long time and so I sometimes forget how good it makes me feel.. except I guess maybe when it's time to pay for your credit card. You know, not everyone is rich who can just buy a Chanel purse out of the blue.. But one day I will own one... at least one. :) So yea, I can't wait to wear these new purchases. I barely try on clothes when I shop so I'm hoping they fit perfectly.

Alright, so this is the dress I bought in one of my previous haul posts. I wore this yesterday at our family friends' silver anniversary. We were asked to sing during the ceremony and then the event continued on to the reception. There was actually a couple of hours break in between so me and some of my friends went for some ice cream in marble slab, my favorite ice cream place.

The wedding is of course filled with love. 25 years of marriage is truly remarkable and a milestone for the couple and the family and I truly appreciate them inviting me. They have 3 very talented daughters, who are very good friends of mine. I've known them since I moved here in Canada and even though we don't see/talk to each other very often, we still remain close to each other. My boyfriend was the photographer for the event so I didn't get to spend a lot of time with him but that's okay. I got my friend to take photos of me outside. he he. :)

I am still waiting on some photos I want to share with you guys but I guess that will get posted tomorrow, i hope!! :)

It has been a very long week for me and so it's time for me to enjoy our long weekend and just relax.

Recently, I've been hooked on a lot of "wedding" shows, such as "Wedding SOS", "Rich Bride Poor Bride", and my favorite of all, "Say Yes to the Dress." I love attending weddings because it's just full of love, care and happiness. And I know, just like most of you ladies out there, I also imagine myself as the bride. Have you ever thought of how your wedding will be like? Mine isn't very clear yet, whether I'd like it a bit modern or traditional. I have a better idea about my dress though. Hello!! Hope you haven't forgotten about me yet. I just got a little busy and every time I get home, I'm too tired to do my own blog post.. but I still read your posts before I sleep. Can't pass that up because I'll end up with 100 new posts from all my subscriptions.. that's not always a bad thing though. I love reading your blogs.. I get a lot of ideas for my outfit as well. So don't forget to follow my blog if you haven't yet! Thank you. :)

So last sunday, we went to this frozen yogurt place called Scoop! We got invited to their 2nd year anniversary and it was actually our first time to try it out. The place is very chill and it's a great place to just hang out and relax. They have board games, foosball, cards, etc available for customers to use (for free of course).

How it works:

1. You choose your flavor of the yogurt

2. Add the toppings of your choice (unlimited and self serve) - I recommend their fresh mango and strawberries plus the hot fudge.

We then walked a little bit to find food because I wasn't able to eat lunch and I was starving! Unfortunately, snack bars were almost closing and so we just took more photos :)

We also called 2 of our friends who live around the area to drop by. We loved it so much that we all had round 2 of scoop frozen yogurt! YUMM!

Ooh, I'm on a roll! My recent posts are not a week apart! Anyway, yesterday, we decided to take these photos at a park close to my place. I only wore heels for this shoot. I had my flats with me all the time, haha!! :) Didn't really do much that day.. we went home right after we walked for a lil bit at this park because my cousins came over at our house. I made them my new specialty recipe, the taco dip, which they loved!!! I'm so happy. And they had dinner with us too and watched the Final Destination (first one) because my cousin wanted to. Ha ha.

I've been holding myself from coloring my hair again because I was originally planning on growing out my hair so it'll turn back to its natural black color. Let's see how I'll end up with this plan. :P Also, my dress looks more of a red in here. It's actually a red, orangey color...

Very minimal make up. First time I used my new BB Cream, and I love it!! I know there's a lot of reviews out there already so I don't think there's a need for me to do one.. Yeah? I think this will be one of my all time favorite face cosmetic product. I got 20ml for $14 including shipping. Might be a bit pricey but I think it's worth every penny. I barely use any foundation-type of product anyway so I think It'll last me for a while. :)

Eiffel Tower

So last summer, me and 5 of my friends went on our little Euro trip, Paris and Rome and I thought I'll share with you guys some photos. It's 1.28am right now so I'll make this quick. Sorry but there's too many photos to look at and choose from.. I'm too tired to go through all of them. :)

I'd probably use this trip to use as my "filler-posts." If I can't think of anything to blog about, I'll quickly blog about memories of my trip. So first one would be the day we saw the Eiffel Tower. It's nothing like in pictures. When I got there, I had this feeling of accomplishment and just great joy.
